Join us in a role that embodies the spirit of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and empowerment. Under the guidance of our Pro Vice-Chancellor (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy), this position offers a unique opportunity to assume leadership of the Buranga Centre, driving initiatives aligned with the Indigenous Student Success Program Guidelines and our strategic vision. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional services to Indigenous students, fostering a nurturing environment that champions their success, and leading initiatives focused on engagement and enhancing retention rates. As the Associate Director, you will possess influence across all campuses, operating with autonomy to review and develop high-level documentation, provide expert advice, and make decisions that directly impact the student experience and retention outcomes for Indigenous UniSC students.
This role presents opportunities that call for innovative problem-solving and strategic thinking.
You will lead initiatives, drive change, and navigate complexities to ensure positive outcomes for Indigenous student experiences and community engagement. Additionally, you will forge collaborative relationships, working closely with the PVC (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Strategy), Deans of Schools, and stakeholders across the university to shape Indigenous student services, contribute expertise to various committees, and represent UniSC at conferences and government forums focused on Indigenous student engagement services.
This is an opportunity to make a profound impact, contribute to strategic projects, and shape a future where Indigenous student success is at the forefront of our institution's mission.
