About the Opportunity:
Uniting Noah's Ark Preschool is currently seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join their team in a permanent full time position.
Noah’s Ark Preschool is the home of one of the longest standing and highest achieving Preschools in the area. Our service is approved for 40 children which fosters a personalised and caring approach. Our newly refurbished indoor open learning spaces are warm and welcoming and our large outdoor area provides a stimulating environment for children to explore. Our team is dedicated to creating an environment for learning, personal growth, and confidence.
Every child is actively and consistently supported to engage in the programs we offer with supported inclusion of children with additional needs.
What you’ll be doing in this role
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will contribute to the planning, implementation, evaluation and reflection of the educational program for the children. You’ll also provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your care work may include:
- Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
- Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- You’ll guide and support educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.
Who we’re looking for
- Completed Bachelor Teaching / Early Childhood Education
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an ECT
- A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Understand the National Quality Framework
- Knowledge of child protection practices
- Strong commitment to engaging with the Church values and mission.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
