About the Opportunity

  • Base pay from $36.50 to $53 (depending on experience) + Super + Salary Packaging Benefits.
  • Pay less tax - the maximum amount of not-for-profit (NFP) salary packaging available up to $18,550 per year.
  • Part time contract till July 2024 working a minimum 32hours per week!

What you’ll be doing in this role

  • Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • You’ll guide and support educators to implement the program and philosophy for the children.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor Teaching / Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working as an ECT (preferred, new graduates are also encouraged to apply).
  • Experience working with children with developmental delays and disabilities desirable but not essential.
  • A work history that demonstrates recording observations, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
  • You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

About the service:

Susanna Early Learning supports families with education and childcare, including a preschool program. We are open long hours for children aged two to five years.  Our Service has a strong focus on inclusion and support for children with additional needs. Our service offers a home-like, family atmosphere with bright and welcoming indoor learning spaces and stimulating outdoor environments that are designed to engage and inspire. We value every child as an individual with a unique personality, interests and needs, so we can best help them to unlock and achieve their potential while enjoying their time in our care.
