Join Uniting Yamba as our Sales Specialist and play a pivotal role in securing sales and driving full occupancy within the final stage of our Independent Living development.
Your Role
As the Sales Specialist, you will:
- Achieve Sales & Occupancy Targets – Drive sales and secure occupancy for our new Independent Living apartments in line with KPIs.
- Deliver a Seamless Customer Experience – Work closely with the Village Manager to guide customers through their journey from enquiry to settlement and move-in.
- Engage with the Community – Build strong relationships with retirees by hosting presentations, attending local events, and participating in open days.
- Drive Marketing & Outreach – Expand our customer database through targeted engagement activities and promotional initiatives.
- Coordinate Move-Ins – Manage purchaser communications and collaborate with the onsite project team to ensure smooth transitions for new residents.
- Provide Insights for Continuous Improvement – Contribute feedback to enhance Uniting’s systems, processes, and future Independent Living developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Occupancy Management. Drive Independent Living sales, ensuring occupancy targets are met within organisational goals.
- Manage the entire sales process, including enquiry handling and purchaser engagement, to optimise conversion rates.
- Maintain accurate records in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Customer Engagement & Post-Sales Support. Provide outstanding customer service from initial enquiry to settlement and move-in.
- Collaborate with the Village Manager to enhance the customer journey and facilitate a seamless transition into the community.
- Community Engagement. Actively participate in marketing initiatives and community events to expand Uniting’s reach.
- Represent Uniting at expos, retirement industry events, and community festivals.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key external stakeholders such as Uniting Church congregations, Probus Clubs, and RSL Clubs. Records & Reporting. Ensure accurate and timely CRM data entry, tracking leads and sales progress.
- Compile regular sales reports and provide insights for improving sales strategies
- Maintain records of pricing adjustments, buyer preferences, and competitor activity.
- Team Collaboration & Compliance. Align activities with organisational health, safety, and wellbeing policies
- Uphold quality management systems and compliance standards.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including property, marketing, and administration
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales, community engagement, or customer service, preferably in retirement living or a related sector.
- A strong track record of achieving sales targets and a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills to engage with retirees, community groups, and stakeholders
- Experience in pre-sale and new sales for Independent Living developments.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Sound knowledge of the NSW and ACT Retirement Villages Act.
- High-level verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- A current NSW Driver’s Licence is essential.
