We are seeking candidates who are available to work full-time. Starting base annual salary of $91,297 to $96,882 negotiable based on experience, plus super and access to generous salary packaging options!
When you’re part of Uniting NSW.ACT, you’re part of a diverse, purpose-led team of people who are really making a difference to the world around them.
We contribute to the work and mission of the Uniting Church in NSW and the ACT through social justice advocacy, community services and spiritual care. We provide care and support for people through all ages and stages of life, with a focus on people experiencing disadvantage and vulnerability. Our purpose is to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice.
Uniting leaders and employees work together to create a culture that is safe, inclusive and person-centred. We bring this to life every day through our values: compassionate, respectful, imaginative and bold.
Uniting acknowledges the continuing sovereignty and rich cultural diversity of Australia’s First Peoples. We pay our respects to all Elders – past, present, and emerging – and to all First Peoples on whose lands we live and work.
Uniting is a Child Safe Organisation committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of children and young people.
As a Therapeutic Practitioner, you’ll deliver in-home family casework services using the Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW) model. You’ll work with families referred by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) to address issues of physical abuse and neglect, supporting children aged 0-17 years at risk of further harm.
We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and driven to create lasting change.
Working to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice brings its own rewards, but there’s more.
Should you have any questions, please contact Belinda Condon from Uniting's Talent Acquisition Team at [email protected] using the subject line: Therapeutic Practitioners enquiry via EthicalJobs.
Employment with Uniting is subject to satisfactory background checks, which include National Police Checks, Working with Children Checks and Reference Checks.
"At Uniting, we don't just care about Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) because it's the right thing to do - D&I is part of our identity and the future we see for ourselves.
We’re on a journey to intentionally and visibly weave diversity and inclusion into everything we do. We strive to be a place where everyone feels included, safe and confident to be themselves. A place where diversity is valued, and essential, to co-create a better world.
We have four lived experience-led employee D&I networks that provide insights and guidance to our organisation and drive active allyship: Uniting PRIDE network; Uniting Disability Inclusion Network; Uniting Cultural Diversity Network; and, the Uniting Ngumbadal Network."
