Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the day-to-day support and engagement of Chrysalis residents. Your role involves assisting residents with psychosocial supports, fostering independent living skills, and overseeing social and recreational activities in a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed manner.

Key Duties

  • Provide professional support for individuals with mental illness, intellectual disability, or acquired brain injury.
  • Implement Recovery-Orientated practices.
  • Deliver trauma-informed service delivery.
  • Manage medication administration.
  • Work within a 24/7 roster, including weekends and public holidays

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate 4 in Mental Health or equivalent tertiary qualification; OR
  • Currently undertaking a Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent.
  • Full, unrestricted South Australian Driver’s License.
  • First Aid and CPR certificate.
  • National Police Certificate.
  • DHS Vulnerable Person Related Employment Check, DHS Aged Care Employment Check, DHS Disability Employment Check, or DHS Working with Children Check.
