Role Overview:

UnitingSA is looking for an experienced and driven events and fundraising professional to deliver high quality, engaging and impactful events for both the organisation and community, and to help increase donation income.

Your week will be spent managing the annual events calendar including the end-to-end organisation and execution of major project launches, community events and internal employee events. You will also work closely with donors, partners and sponsors, support annual fundraising appeals and develop creative donor engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery and ongoing upkeep of UnitingSA’s annual internal and external events program, and key project events.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of events for significant organisational projects, key dates and days of recognition in the annual calendar.
  • Support the implementation of the fundraising and partnerships strategy.
  • Support the implementation of annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Manage the accurate recording of supporter, donor, corporate partner and stakeholder data and records and provide analysis and recommendations.
  • Manage sponsorship and partnership agreements and entitlements.

Skills & Experience

  • Considerable demonstrable experience in a similar position in a large organisation.
  • Extensive demonstrable skills in end-to-end event management, including the ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proven knowledge of events processes, practices and methodologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to detail and an ability to write and edit for a range of uses.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the proven ability to build genuine, lasting relationships and foster commitment.
  • Substantial demonstrable CRM/data base management skills and training.
  • Strong research, strategic analysis and critical thinking skills that support the delivery of data-driven fundraising.
  • Competent skills within the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organisational, time and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise conflicting requests and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling presentations for sponsors and events.
