UnitingSA is seeking a Head Chef to lead our Hospitality Department in our new state-of-the-art Aged Care Facility, which is set to open in early 2021. The facility will provide a place where people are able to stay connected and be supported to live their best life, regardless of their age or health.
UnitingSA West Lakes offers three levels of premium Residential Aged Care, comprising of 108 private rooms taking in stunning views of the nearby oval and lakes. This exciting $50 million complex forms part of the new WEST development located within the already established and well-loved West Lakes community.
The Head Chef will provide leadership across our Aged Care Facilities in the efficient management and operation of our catering and food services.
A day in the life of our Head Chef is fast paced, dynamic and changing. You will be working in close collaboration with the facility leadership team, staff and residents to ensure exceptional standards are met.
You will be required to:
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, service focused and professional leader who is able to work in a fast paced, high-pressured environment. You will pride yourself on your outstanding customer service and your ability to build relationships. Most importantly, you will be passionate about food!
You will have a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, along with a minimum of 3 years in a management role in Hotel/Food operation. You will also demonstrate high understanding and knowledge of special diets in accordance with dietician guidelines.
