UnitingSA is looking for an experienced marketing and social media professional to develop engaging, accessible content and help coordinate marketing activities across digital, social and print platforms. You’ll manage our social media channels, contribute to service and event promotion and collaborate with internal and external designers to bring visual elements to life.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same - ideal for someone who enjoys writing, stakeholder engagement, content planning and delivering communications that make an impact.

With strong writing skills, creative thinking and a love for brand, you’ll create captivating content that elevates UnitingSA’s visibility and reputation. You’re comfortable switching between big picture thinking and getting on the tools to produce and execute your ideas.

You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative and high-performing Marketing, Communications and Partnerships team that is committed to using their skills to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of marketing activities across digital, social and print channels, working with internal teams to promote services, events and organisational priorities.
  • Manage UnitingSA’s social media platforms, including planning, scheduling, publishing and community engagement.
  • Coordinate the production and ongoing review of marketing collateral such as brochures, catalogues, fact sheets and newsletters – ensuring consistency, accuracy and brand alignment.
  • Write, edit and publish high-quality content tailored to specific platforms and audiences, and provide guidance to others on content best practice.Support event marketing - including the coordination of merchandise, collateral and promotional activities.
  • Plan, produce and edit video content for social media platforms to enhance brand visibility while maintaining alignment with our brands and marketing goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, including designers and videographers, to develop briefs and bring visual and multimedia content to life.Maintain a consistent tone of voice and visual style across all communications in line with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain and update the annual content calendar to support key events, campaign activity and days of recognition.
  • Monitor performance across channels, report on key metrics, and contribute insights to strengthen future communications.
  • Stay informed on current marketing trends, social media algorithm changes and audience behaviours.

Skills & Experience

  • Considerable demonstrable experience in a similar position in a large organisation.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in developing and coordinating the delivery of marketing activities across a range of channels.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in writing and editing content for a range of channels including digital, social and print.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience managing stakeholder relationships across internal teams, agencies and suppliers.
  • Demonstratable project management experience, including the ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Proven knowledge of marketing techniques and approaches.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative working style.
  • Strong research, strategic analysis and critical thinking skills that support the delivery of data-driven marketing.
  • Proficiency in social media management and basic photo and video editing.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office, Campaign Monitor/Mailchimp, Adobe Suite, Canva and video-editing software.
  • Understanding of Search Engine Marketing, including SEO and Google Ads.
  • Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and openness to new ideas and growth.
