Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre

The Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre is seeking a Community Centre Manager to lead a small team in developing and managing this well established, growing organisation.

The organisation is a not for profit incorporated association governed by a volunteer Committee of Governance (CoG) that provides a governance structure and strategic direction to Centre Management. The income of the organisation includes fee for service activities, Early Learning Centre, room hire revenue, recurrent funding from the Department of Families Fairness & Housing (DFFH) and periodic grants to support additional projects.

Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre (UBCC) is a busy, vibrant community based and managed Neighbourhood House where people meet to pursue leisure and learning opportunities. The primary focus of the organisation is to provide programs and services to enhance well-being, community involvement and connectedness, for those in the local community.

Centre Manager key responsibilities are: Management, Administration, Finance, Community Engagement, Marketing, Planning and Compliance

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Community Services, Welfare/Health, Counselling, Adult Education, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the community services sector and community development.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the philosophy underpinning community organisations.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License, Victorian Police Check, and Working With Children Check.
  • Accredited First Aid and CPR qualifications or the ability to obtain them.
