The role

UMFC currently has an opportunity for a Care Services Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity. As the Service Manager, you will lead and enhance our high-quality, outcome-focused Care Services that support children and young people in out of home care

This role involves overseeing operational and strategic planning, developing, managing and recasting budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, implement trauma-informed practices aligned with the Sanctuary Model, and drive innovation to meet community needs. Additionally, the role includes providing leadership, mentorship, and supervision to the Care Services Leadership Group, and contributing to the UMFC Executive Team. Your Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Management, Human Services or related fields.
  • Extensive senior management experience including expertise in people leadership, financial and budget management, compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of the Care Services sector, including legal obligations and service delivery standards.
  • Operational management skills in service delivery, compliance and budget management.
  • Strong people leadership with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Expertise in trauma-informed practice and supporting diverse client needs.
  • High emotional intelligence, effective performance management and excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven change management abilities in a dynamic environment
