About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a motivated and organised Development Officer to provide high-level project and administrative support to the UQ International Development team (UQID) within the Global Partnerships portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Development Coordinator, the Development Officer supports the delivery of projects and office administration by completing a range of activities including coordinating project planning, project communication, stakeholder engagements, project documentation, project deliverables, office administration, event logistics and other duties as required.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the successful delivery and administration of all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation to support the successful completion of projects.
  • Coordinating the development and management of project documentation using UQID standard agreements derived from head contract agreements.
  • Coordinating a range of administrative activities to support the UQID team including but not limited to maintaining equipment and project supplies, office stationery and ITS equipment, sim cards and go-cards.
  • Organising and supporting the delivery of project-related activities, events, consultation activities and meetings, including but not limited to venue bookings, catering, merchandising, participant registrations, project reporting and internal communications.
  • Support the development of tender proposals through the completion of allocated tasks such as background researching, CV and document formatting.
  • Support the project financial administration processes as directed by the Development Coordinator.
  • Undertaking complex data entry, retrieval, report preparation and document management.
  • Using project-management software and applications, including Checkbox to create and manage surveys, Smartsheet and SharePoint site coordination and management.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as FCM for travel logistics, venue management clients, and other internal UQ divisions.
  • Other duties as requested by the supervisor.

There are two (2) full-time, fixed-term positions up to three years, At HEW Level 5, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,396 - $86,029 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $90,553 – $100,654 per annum.

About You

  • A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training.
  • Well-developed organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail and ability to follow policy and procedures, exercise initiative and make sound judgments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client service focus with a demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and sensitivities and awareness of cultural differences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, whilst taking full accountability for the efficient delivery of set tasks within agreed timeframes and service standards
  • Previous experience working as part of a project team or in a similar role would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of the higher education sector, particularly in relation to international development is desirable.
