Anti-Slavery Australia provides access to legal advice through the engagement of JM Burn Solicitor. Anti-Slavery Australia is recruiting for a Lawyer and Human Rights Legal Practice Manager to join their team for a 2.5 year contract. The position is full-time but applicants wishing to work part-time will be considered. The Lawyer/Manager is accountable for providing casework and advice, including complex casework, to survivors of modern slavery within a migration, human rights and legal framework. The role supports the running of the legal practice by developing and implementing operational policies and procedures, as well as contributing to law reform initiatives and other activities of the centre. The position holder trains and supervises other lawyers, students, interns and volunteers, and manages key relationships with external stakeholders to deliver key human rights outcomes.
Base Salary: $117,282 (HEW 8) or on a pro rata basis if part-time.
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
