Anti-Slavery Australia, in the University of Technology Sydney Faculty of Law, is recruiting for a Research Officer to support the Department of Social Services funded project, Sexual Violence Prevention – Sexual violence and forced marriage prevention. It is one of three roles being recruited to support this ambitious, ground-breaking project to develop a research-informed, human-rights response to forms of modern slavery that take place within the home, including domestic servitude and forced marriage.
Anti-Slavery Australia (Anti-Slavery) is dedicated to eliminating human trafficking and slavery in Australia. The Centre engages in research, policy development, and evaluation of Australia’s anti people trafficking responses and related issues. Anti-Slavery has an active role in community awareness raising of all forms of slavery and also provides practical legal training for graduating law students as well as internship placement opportunities for law students engaged in law elective subjects and volunteers, including from the Brennan Leadership and Justice Program.
The Research Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient day to day management of the project including ongoing engagement with relevant stakeholders and delivery of the key outcomes together with a specialist and dedicated team.

Base Salary Range: $92,791 to $102,650 pa (HEW 7)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is four days/week or full-time (please indicate your preference) and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
