Institute for Sustainable Futures

For over 25 years ISF has been a recognised leader in applied sustainability research in Australia and internationally. We deliver high-impact applied research through partnerships with government, industry, civil society and the international research community.
We seek applications from talented individuals passionate about research for sustainability in the financial and corporate world. The role involves working on research projects focused on sustainable finance or corporate sustainability, bringing your technical skills to bear on projects relating to climate risk, nature-based risk, other ESG issues or regulatory developments.
The projects may include environmental, institutional, economic or social dimensions and support our clients and partners to assess risks and opportunities and understand the requirements of the transition to sustainability for their organisation or broader systems.
You will benefit from the opportunity to work on projects with a team of exceptional, well-recognised senior researchers in this field who will mentor and support you.
We would like to hear from applicants who have a background in sustainable finance or corporate sustainability with a passion for realising the transition to sustainability and have an ability to take a flexible and team-oriented approach. Working in teams and with private sector and government, you will apply your knowledge to a range of projects.
Suitable applicants will demonstrate well-developed research skills and a relevant degree as well as strong analytical, critical thinking, communication and writing skills. We are looking for applicants who have a genuine passion for sustainability, excellent project management skills and a keenness to learn and contribute within a team.
The level of appointment is dependent upon skills, experience and competencies.

This role is full-time, and appointment will be made on a Two-Year Full Time Fixed term basis. 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) will also be considered.
