The Case Review and Practice Development Specialist will lead post-incident reviews to enhance the safety and well-being of children, young people, and families at VACCA. This role involves conducting thorough case analyses, preparing concise investigation reports, and providing critical updates to government agencies.
The Case Review and Practice Development Specialist analyses client incidents and histories to assess risks, identify contributing factors, and recommend solutions. They prepare comprehensive, client-centred reports aligned with legislation and best practices while ensuring timely communication of findings to staff, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
The role involves managing case reviews, overseeing incident workflows, maintaining accurate records, and supporting compliance with investigation standards. Additionally, they provide guidance on trends, policy improvements, and training needs, contributing to continuous service enhancement and staff support in mitigating vicarious trauma.
