About the role

This position is responsible for managing the case support roster, comprising of both permanent and casual staff by matching tasks to both skills and availability.  The role will work alongside Key Workers/Case Managers to ensure a strong understanding of clients, carers & families to provide the best match for case support tasks.  The role will also provide supervision, mentoring and support to casual case support workers.

About You

  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualification in Community Services, Youth Case Management and/or Social Worker
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in case management or administration roles
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding for the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
  • Demonstrated experience in working and engaging with Aboriginal families and children/ Demonstrated experience in child and family sector
  • Previous experience in planning, managing and maintaining staff rosters
  • Advanced ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with Aboriginal children, families, carers and other service providers to achieve outcomes
  • Advanced ability to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal children and families
  • Requirements: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
