The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. The Case Support Worker provides culturally respectful support to clients and carers, assisting with tasks like transport, appointments, and participation in activities outlined in the client’s Case Plan and Targeted Care Package (TCP). The TCP aims to help children exit or avoid residential care. Support is tailored to identified goals, with the worker collaborating closely with the Key Worker and Team Leader to achieve these broader objectives.
Demonstrates leadership and commitment to VACCA's values, with a strong awareness of Aboriginal cultures and issues. Knows child protection, and out-of-home care, and has experience working with young people with complex needs. Excellent in time management, communication, teamwork, client service, flexibility, and willingness to learn and grow through training and supervision.
