The Team Leader position in the Family Violence Program in Preston will provide leadership, supervision, and support to case workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery to Aboriginal women, children, and families impacted by family violence. Responsibilities include overseeing case work activities such as intake, advocacy, care plans, referrals, risk assessment, and safety planning (MARAM). The role also involves data management, professional supervision, staff development, and occasional case management and outreach visits. Additionally, the Team Leader will build relationships with key stakeholders and represent VACCA in the family violence sector through network meetings and memberships like RAMP.
The role requires strong leadership aligned with VACCA's values, cultural awareness of Aboriginal communities, and experience engaging with Aboriginal families. It demands knowledge of family violence impacts, risk management, and local services, alongside proven skills in team management, conflict resolution, and professional communication. Confidentiality and mandatory reporting understanding are essential.
