The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. This role is responsible for conducting thorough investigations into incidents and disclosures involving children and young people under VACCA's care or receiving VACCA services. In line with child protection incident and reporting frameworks, the Investigator will plan and execute high-quality investigations and case reviews on allegations made against staff, carers, volunteers, and contractors, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and young people are prioritised at all times.
A skilled Investigator with extensive experience in handling complex cases, and applying principles of natural justice and procedural fairness. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, alongside excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathize, and adapt language to diverse audiences. A collaborative team player, capable of offering support while being mindful of individual differences. Proficient in prioritising tasks, managing workload, and building effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Strong computer literacy, with intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
