About the role

This role ensures children can safely remain at home or transition back, while collaborating with government and sector partners. Working within the Children, Youth and Families Act (2005) and VACCA guidelines, the role involves assessing risks, developing culturally grounded safety plans, and strengthening family connections to culture and community. Responsibilities include implementing strength-based and healing practices, advocating in the Children’s Court, and maintaining accurate case records.

The position also builds collaborative relationships with families, community organisations, and government partners to ensure culturally safe, wrap-around support. Additionally, the Case Manager upholds health, safety, and compliance standards while promoting the rights and voices of Aboriginal children and families.
