The Project Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, culturally responsive initiative for Aboriginal children, young people, and families supported by our Statewide Residential Service (Gamadji Balit), focusing on the implementation of our Aboriginal Model of Residential Care. Success in this role will rely on exceptional collaboration, consultation, and deep listening skills across a diverse range of stakeholders, paired with strong project management expertise.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the child and family or community engagement sectors, with specific knowledge of Residential Care and related services. They will possess strong project planning, management, and delivery skills, including budget oversight. The role requires the ability to connect with a wide range of stakeholders, including Aboriginal community members, Elders, and staff at ACCOs. Excellent writing and Microsoft Office skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines are essential. Preferred knowledge of human resources and industry requirements in Residential Care, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, is also important.
