The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia. The VACCA team is committed to the organisation’s vision and values, passionately providing support, service and advocacy for our children and other vulnerable members of the community.

Our strength lies with our people.

About the role

Family Services is a large program area that spans across all VACCA regions, focusing on strength-based work to promote parenting/caring capacity and raise up Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in a positive way underpinned by culture.

There are several programs and roughly 180 staff who sit within the remit of Family Services at VACCA.

  • Change management and project management
  • Capacity building
  • Program and practice design, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder management, advocacy and governance support
  • Budget and funding support, including funding submissions for Family Services
