• Position: Part Time (15.2hrs) per week
• Status: Fixed term role till December 2026
• Location: Wodonga, with travel to other sites as required
• Salary: $97,377.80 - $101,787.92, plus super and salary packaging is available

About the role

The position is responsible for working with Koori young people aged 13-18 years in the Ovens Murray region to explore education and training pathways to support the transition from high school to adulthood. The role will also strengthen new and existing relationships with community and key stakeholders in the region by building and enhancing connections to improve employment pathways for the young people in the region,

About You

• An understanding and awareness of Aboriginal communities and the issues facing Aboriginal children, youth, and families today.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating groups and cultural and community events and activities.
• Strong analytical, solution focused approach with high level organisational abilities and interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in Community engagement and consultations skills to strengthen and foster relationships with community, agencies, and government departments in the Ovens Murray Region.
• Ability in writing and preparing high quality reports and acquitting project funding.
• Demonstrated experience in providing cultural advice within a professional setting

Requirements: 

• Certificate or Diploma in community development, social work, youth work or a related discipline or have at least three years’ experience in the Child and Family Services system
• Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
