We have 33 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. The Executive Manager, Screening and Early Detection is responsible for managing VACCHO’s statewide program of initiatives that increase the capacity of screening and early detection activities in Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs). These include:
The Executive Manager is responsible for developing, coaching, and mentoring staff to achieve project objectives within annual cycles of impact reporting. Working collaboratively with other teams within VACCHO, the Screening and Early Detection team also contributes to improving Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) within VACCHO’s member organisations.
To be successful in this role, you will need a demonstrated experience in managing, coaching and supporting the development of a team. You will have the ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with key external stakeholders including the Victorian Cancer Screening Framework partnership, Sexual Health Victoria, Rural Workforce Agency Victoria, and Australian College of Optometry.
