About VACCHO

VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.

We have 33 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. About the role

This position sits within a small Finance team and is responsible for the analysing of financial data, assisting with the preparation of budgets, providing key financial insights to enable informed decision-making, and related business activities within VACCHO. Contributing directly to our purpose, you will also provide financial information and support to VACCHO's member organisations. The Management Accountant ensures resources are allocated effectively to achieve VACCHO’s mission and strategic goals while maintaining compliance with financial regulations and funding requirements.

Essential skills/experiences

To be successful in this role you will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance along with a CA, CPA or CIMA qualifications and a minimum of 5 years' experience.

Desirable

  • Experience working in or supporting programs related to community services in a not-for-profit environment.
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply as your cultural and lived experiences are central to the work we do.
