VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.
We have 33 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. The Project Officer, Workforce Development working within our Workforce Development Team, will make important contributions to projects that uplift and enhance the sustainability of ACCO service delivery. In particular, the Project Officer supports VACCHO’s delivery of education and training to primary healthcare teams across the state, to optimise their utilisation of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS). This aims to enhance the sustainability, efficiency, and quality of primary healthcare services, and increase levels of Medicare-related knowledge and confidence across the ACCO sector workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to coordinate the delivery of project activities including workshops, training sessions, meetings with external partners, and other project related activities and events. You will have sound judgement, a pragmatic approach to problem-solving, and strong communication skills, with willingness to take the initiative.
