Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role will develop and implement corporate partnerships and community fundraising initiatives with the view to strategically increase these income streams for Variety NSW/ACT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the Corporates and Community Fundraising strategy and deliver multiple initiatives within a defined budget that supports the objectives of Variety NSW/ACT.
  • Seek new corporate partner prospective opportunities for the organisation.
  • Seek new Community Fundraising opportunities.
  • Review the current community fundraising initiatives to ensure best practice and income generation according to KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for new sources of income from peer-to-peer and community fundraising, undertaking financial analysis and operational planning to assess the viability of new event initiatives.
  • Prepare and execute community fundraising operating objectives, plans and programs.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators for all corporate partnerships and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Manage income and expenditure budgets.
  • Implement donor recognition strategies to encourage loyalty and acknowledge supporters.
  • Proven ability to meet financial targets through strategic planning and relationship building.
  • Manage the fundraising platforms for community fundraising.

Key Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate partnerships and community fundraising.
  • Strong leadership experience and capabilities and a proven ability to engage across teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, problem solving and influencing abilities.
  • Experience with digital fundraising strategy and platforms (like Raiser’s Edge database, Fundraising platform and campaign monitor).
  • Experience in event management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a business discipline or equivalent.
  • Hold a current NSW Driver’s Licence.
  • Hold a current Working with Children’s check, or agree to apply for one if selected as the preferred candidate.
  • Willing to have a National police check conducted if selected as the preferred candidate.

Work Conditions

  • The role is full time with occasional evening work based on program needs and occasional travel between offices or to engage with community stakeholders

  • We have a hybrid work model, combining 50/50 time in-office and remote work.
