The Victorian social and community services sector is the state’s largest employer and the fastest growing industry in the state. As the cross-sector peak body, VCOSS supports all part of the sector to develop and thrive in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
The Manager, Community Sector Workforce Development is a key source of expertise and advice on community sector workforce issues and trends, and the skills system, for VCOSS and VCOSS stakeholders and partners.
They will manage and deliver strategic workforce development initiatives that contribute to a skilled and resilient sector and economy. This includes serving as Executive Officer to the Industry Advisory Group for Early Educators, Health & Human Services, Sport and Recreation (IAG).
The role will involve extensive consultation, engagement and collaboration with the community sector (employers, workers, consumer representatives and sub-sector/specialist peak bodies), unions, the TAFE and university sectors, and close work with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), Victorian Skills Authority, and other parts of government
