About the role:

Located within the Social Marketing & Communications (SM&C) Group, the Manager, Digital Marketing has a close working relationship with the Executive Manager, SM&C, and the broader SM&C Group.

The Manager is expected to develop and nurture excellent relationships across the organisation and with key external stakeholders, including staff in government departments and agencies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the digital marketing strategy and execution to enhance audience engagement, positioning, and message effectiveness.
  • Leading the strategic direction of digital assets, media buy, content marketing, search and audience engagement strategies to ensure alignment with VicHealth’s overarching health promotion objectives.
  • Leading email marketing, blog and search activity including providing strategic direction, resource allocation, day to day management and reporting.
  • Leading the media buy strategy and execution for brand and campaigns including day to day management and reporting.
  • Leading people, capability development, and a high-performance culture within the team.

About you:

We’re looking for someone who has outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across various teams, and represent VicHealth in a professional manner with all stakeholders; and strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Digital Communications, Marketing or similar area
  • Strong demonstrable experience in a similar role in digital marketing leadership
  • Strong people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategic objectives into effective digital marketing strategies
  • Experience working within the communications, public health, community or government sectors is preferred.
