The overall purpose of the role is to make significant contributions to the teaching effort in the Youth Work discipline and to contribute to the College through academic, relevant administrative, research and engagement activities. A teaching and research academic at this level is also expected to play a role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities.
The senior lecturer will design and teach units, including online and preparatory material as well as convene units of study and perform the duties of the Course Chair in Youth Work. The successful applicant will be required to teach into the undergraduate programs at the University and have supervisory responsibilities for some staff.
This is a full-time continuing position (Teaching and Research) at Academic Level C $132,024 - $152,231 plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 (1 FTE) hours per week.
A suitably qualified person at Level B may be considered: Academic Level B $107,775 - $127,983.

Preference will be given to applicants with current or recent experience in tertiary education and the Youth Work sector and are eligible for Youth Workers Australia membership.
