About the program

This 12-month paid program is designed to help you grow personally and professionally while gaining valuable work experience. Highlights include:

• A 13-week external placement with a leading employer to build your confidence and industry experience.
• Support from a dedicated senior mentor and buddy who are also blind or have low vision, offering guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
• A flexible, hybrid work environment tailored to your needs, with the option to work from any Vision Australia location near you.

About you

We’re looking for motivated team players who show initiative. You may be eligible for the program if you are legally blind and meet the criteria below:

• Have completed a Diploma or higher qualification within the last four years. 
• Can participate in the program continuously from July 2025 to June 2026 (full-time preferred, or a minimum of four days per week).
• Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident living within commutable distance of a Vision Australia office.
