VolunteeringACT is the peak body for volunteering in the Canberra Region, the provider of Community Information Services as well as being a service provider of programs for people experiencing disadvantage and isolation, people with disability, and people needing support for mental wellness.

Our activities improve inclusivity, enable sustainable volunteering, and create a more resilient Canberra community.

The Sector Development Assistant will be responsible for supporting volunteer involving organisations to create safe, sustainable and ethical volunteering opportunities through training, administration, stakeholder engagement and resource development.

You will enjoy working in Civic, flexible working conditions, being part of a fun collaborative team and enjoy meaningful work that really makes a difference in people’s lives.

We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds, including people with lived experience of disability, who identify as LGBTIQA+ and people from Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander or culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The role is being offered on a casual basis and is paid at the equivalent of SCHADS Level 3 ($46.71/hour including casual leave loading) + superannuation. Likely hours may include 6-12 hrs per week.
