Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC) is the peak body for unions in Victoria. It provides industrial support for affiliated unions and runs campaigns to promote the interests of Victorian workers.
The Victorian Labour College is a program of the VTHC. It educates and organises working people about their rights, safety and power at work, supports unions to advance working people’s rights and campaigns for social change through building the capacity of unions and activists.
We are seeking to employ a Trainer who wants to use the power of training to educate and empower workers about their rights and safety at work.
This is position set at Level 7 (approx. $106,000) of our classification structure.
Victorian Trades Hall has an Enterprise Agreement with a monthly RDO (in recognition of occasional additional hours) and 12% superannuation.
This position is based at Victorian Trades Hall in Carlton although we deliver training in both metro Melbourne and regional Victoria.
This position reports to the Assistant Secretary and Secretary through the Victorian Labour College Lead.
Some irregular hours, regional and interstate travel will be required in this role.
