WA Child Safety Services (WACSS) was founded in 2016 with the primary aim to create safer communities for children.

WACSS has grown to become Western Australia’s leading provider of child safety education and training programs and resources. We educate and empower children, families, and the community to prevent child abuse, and to reduce the impact of this harm in the community.

THE ROLE

WACSS is seeking a dynamic executive to lead and oversee operations and secure future funding. We are at a critical time of growth and are looking for a motivated self-starter with knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.

SPECIFICS

• Maintain knowledge of current sector issues and trends to ensure quality, safety, and best practice.
• Ensure service delivery is compliant with contractual obligations.
• Coordinate, supervise and support staff, contractors, and day-to-day operations.
• Plan and implement communications for a range of stakeholders including corporate partners.
• Identify and secure funding sources to support operations.
• Monitor operational budgets.
• Develop relationships and alliances to further WACSS’ priorities.
• Prepare and present material to relevant groups promoting the work of WACSS.

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualification in the human services field or equivalent.
• Capability to work autonomously and have a flexible approach.
• High level problem-solving skills.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check.
