About the role

We currently have an exciting full-time opportunity located at Brunswick Industries in Reservoir for an experienced Operations Lead.

This role reports directly to the Operations Manager as their second in charge. You will be ensuring that corporate customer KPI’s are met, all areas are adequately resourced and that all employees work in a clean and safe environment. This will support efficient operation of the stores and warehouse facility. In addition to this, you will assist our supported employees to meet their training goals, maintain support ratios and support note taking in line with the company expectations.

Days and hours of work are Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm and Friday 7:30am – 2:00pm.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Warehousing/Logistics environment
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience supervising others
  • A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience!
  • Experience in the Disability Sector and/or formal qualifications in Disability or Warehousing & Logistics is desirable
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable effective and appropriate interaction at all levels within the organisation as well as corporate customers and supported employees
  • The ability to write factual and concise file notes and reports as required
  • Commitment to the principles of Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation

Must haves

  • Right to work in Australia
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check - We are working with vulnerable people and this check is required to ensure we are employing people that do not present a risk to participants
  • Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR
  • Full Victorian driver licence (manual) and a forklift licence
  • Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination, including booster (or medical exemption)
