As a Case Worker, you will provide critical support to women and children participating in our AOD rehabilitation program.

You’ll offer case management, group work, and wellbeing support while walking alongside clients as they work toward their recovery goals.

From intake to assessment, advocacy, and tailored support, you’ll ensure that clients have the resources, emotional support, and guidance they need to thrive.

Location: Bomaderry, and other Waminda outreach sites as required (across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven)

Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Renumeration: Salary is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4 - above award conditions

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide holistic care – Offer individualised case management, supporting clients in their recovery journey and overall well-being
  • Facilitate access to resources – Connect clients with essential resources and services to support their treatment and recovery goals
  • Advocate for clients – Ensure women and children have access to the support they need within a culturally safe and strengths-based framework
  • Create personalised plans – Develop and implement treatment plans that are trauma-informed and focused on the unique needs of each individual
  • Collaborate in a supportive team – Work closely with a collaborative team to ensure clients’ psychosocial needs are met through their recovery process.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in case management – Previous experience in a case management role, ideally within AOD or community services
  • Empathy and commitment – A passion for helping others achieve their recovery goals in a supportive, respectful environment
  • Cultural competency – A strong understanding of Aboriginal cultures and the importance of culturally safe practices
  • Team player – Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within a supportive team setting
  • Strengths-based approach – A commitment to working within a trauma-informed and strengths-based framework.
