About Warrama-Li

Warrama Li Group is a newly established social enterprise in New England. We are dedicated to creating job and training opportunities for young First Nations people interested in a trades-based career. We support the personal and professional development of our people by offering training and employment opportunities in carpentry, plumbing and cleaning and maintenance services.

We aspire to provide young people with a sense of purpose and motivation, greater confidence and feelings of self-worth and reduced interactions with the criminal justice system through employment and wrap around support. We work closely with our parent company – Miyay Birray Youth Service.

Role Overview

The Finance and Operations Assistant will provide crucial support to the Warrama Li leadership team, ensuring the business runs smoothly. The role includes a mix of operational, administration and finance related activities, all of which can be learned on the job. We are looking for someone who is highly organised, has attention to detail, a good communicator, a team player, and is eager to learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Taking and actioning inbound calls related to jobs and client inquiries
  • Scheduling support, including reassigning expired jobs and raising jobs in ServiceM8.
  • Support preparing financial and operational reports for the management team and Board
  • Raising invoices in accordance with the industry schedule of rates
  • Pro-actively follow up on unpaid invoices
  • Provide support on Warrama Li’s Employment Pathways Program, once created
  • Event organisation for philanthropic funders in Moree
  • Support with the Xero account reconciliation
  • Support with maintaining policies and procedures

  • Willing to learn and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Some experience in the trades sector (desirable).
