We’re looking for a Learning Designer to create engaging learning materials and deliver dynamic workshops that equip entrepreneurs with practical skills to build sustainable, purpose-driven businesses.

Key Responsibilities:
Learning Design and Development:
- Design and develop engaging learning modules, resources, and training materials for social enterprises, ensuring the content is accessible, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the target audience
- Apply instructional design principles to create structured, user-friendly, and innovative learning experiences, using a variety of delivery methods (e.g., online, in-person, blended)
- Conduct needs analysis and collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning objectives and outcomes that support social enterprises’ growth and impact
- Develop assessment tools and evaluation frameworks to measure learning effectiveness and program success
Workshop Facilitation and Delivery:
- Lead and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and seminars that empower social entrepreneurs to build skills in areas such as business strategy, impact measurement, financial sustainability, and innovation
- Create an engaging, participatory learning environment that encourages collaboration and real-world application of knowledge
- Tailor content delivery to different levels of experience and learning styles, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility
- Provide ongoing support to participants, offering coaching, feedback, and guidance as they apply what they’ve learned in their business
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with the WASEC team to ensure that learning content and delivery aligns with project goals and the social enterprise community’s needs
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices in learning and development, and new tools or technologies to enhance the learning experience
- Collect feedback from workshop participants to refine and improve learning materials and delivery methods
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Learning & Development, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Proven experience in learning design and development, ideally within the social enterprise, nonprofit, or social impact sectors
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and the latest trends in online and in-person learning
- Experience in facilitating and delivering workshops or training programs, with a particular focus on empowering leaders and teams in the social enterprise space
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse groups
- Experience working with social enterprises or in a mission-driven context is highly desirable
Key Skills:
- Learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools (e.g., Miro, Articulate, Elucidat, Canva)
- Facilitation skills, with the ability to create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment
- Knowledge of the social enterprise ecosystem and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing social enterprises
