This is an excellent opportunity for a gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and WASH practitioner with enthusiasm and experience supporting country teams to develop tools and guidance, and a willingness and desire to deliver technical contracts with strategic partners in the WASH and GEDSI sectors.
To be successful in this role you will need a deep understanding of technical GEDSI solutions; and shifting power and in development in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region, excellent capacity strengthening skills and a keen interest in water, sanitation and hygiene. Your approach to GEDSI is informed by a commitment to transform unequal power; decolonising and rights-based development practice and a collaborative working style. Essential to this role is an approach that fosters learning, empowerment and collaboration.
Working closely with Head of Strategy, this role is part of a team of Technical Advisors collaborating to integrate GEDSI into our core climate, health and system strengthening programming approaches. The role supports WaterAid to achieve our strategy to improve gender equality and human rights through WASH system strengthening in the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. GEDSI technical support will improve Country Programs and strategic partners capacity to reduce inequalities through WASH and improve program quality across WaterAid.
The position will: provide technical advisory support to Country Programs on GEDSI to improve quality outcomes; support the Head of Strategy to acquire and deliver technical GEDSI contracts to strategic partners; collaborate with Technical Leads to integrate GEDSI into program quality processes and support GEDSI roles in country programs to drive cross-learning.

Physical Environment and Demands:
Remote, flexible working arrangement with relevant equipment supplied as required, approximately 10 weeks overseas travel required per year when safety and security conditions permit.

During project site visits, office family days.
