As we are experiencing growth and on the trajectory towards our strategic vision, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Receivable (AR) Officer to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. As an Accounts Receivable Officer at Waverley, you will be responsible for our accounts receivable function and ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments, including our NDIS billing and claims. This is a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate and send invoices to customers promptly.
  • Follow up with customers to collect outstanding balances and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Process customer payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accounts receivable reports and records.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and month-end closing activities.
  • Liaising with sales and production managers in relation to invoicing of unpaid accounts.
  • AR Reconciliation
  • Manage the collection of overdue customer debts, and escalate all debts considered unrecoverable to the COO promptly. Provide bimonthly report to COO
  • Ensuring accuracy of Data base and record keeping of requests

NDIS

  • Manage the preparation and invoicing of participants monthly, or as required.
  • Manage the collection of overdue NDIS debts, and escalate all debts considered unrecoverable to the COO promptly.
  • Preparation of monthly NDIS AR report to COO.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving where NDIS payment issues occur.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree or similar in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
  • Proficiency in invoicing and accounting applications e.g. Business Central.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite applications, such as Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
