Women’s Health Matters is seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to drive initiatives to strengthen our voice as a leading advocate for women's health and wellbeing in the ACT.
Women’s Health Matters (WHM) works to improve the health and wellbeing of anyone who identifies as a woman in the ACT and surrounding region. We advocate on behalf of all ACT women, especially those experiencing disadvantage and vulnerability.
WHM’s core business is evidence-based social research, policy development, advocacy and health promotion. We identify current and emerging health and wellbeing issues impacting all women in the ACT and surrounding region and develop evidence-based solutions to close the gaps.
The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a key role in delivering communication strategies in line with organisational requirements. Through creative and strategic media and communication initiatives, the Marketing and Communications Officer proactively increases awareness of Women’s Health Matters key priorities and projects.
The Marketing and Communications Officer plays a vital role in shaping how Women’s Health Matters connects with the community. This role will work to ensure that we reach and resonate with those who need it most. Your expertise will help drive awareness, increase participation and strengthen our voice as a leading advocate for women’s health and wellbeing in the ACT.
The position works collaboratively with senior staff across the organisation, and reports directly to the Director, Corporate and Business Development. It involves developing high-quality content across various platforms, providing support on strategic messaging, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
This role is a 0.6-1FTE fixed term contract until 31 December 2025, with extension subject to funding.
Remuneration: SCHaDS Award Level 5.1 and salary tax benefit of up to $15,900 per annum
