Women’s Community Shelters is a network of nine shelters for homeless women and homeless women accompanied by children across NSW. We are recruiting for a casual Support Worker to work in a crisis accommodation service at our shelter in The Hills District.
Various shifts are available.
The Support Worker will be expected to create a safe supportive and welcoming environment for women and children accessing our shelter and work collaboratively with the Sanctuary team to ensure that service users are engaged with appropriate supports.
We consider being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW) and sections 30 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth). Young People Act 1998.
