About the role:

We Care Support Services is seeking passionate Disability Support Workers to deliver person-centred support to a 21-year-old man living in Redland Bay. Our participant lives with a primary diagnosis of Angelman’s Syndrome.

Duties & responsibilities include:

• Meal preparation
• Execution of the participant’s care plan
• Support with domestic activities and assistance with personal care
• Work to provide appropriate support to improve the client’s level of independence
• Assist with community participation, skill & relationship building, and various other needs
• Medication assistance
• Accurate completion of incident reports, progress notes and shift handovers where required
• Observe and document progress and changes through detailed note keeping

Qualifications & attributes:

• Understanding of the NDIS & commitment to its principles
• Proficient, clear, and effective written & verbal English communication skills
• Key Word Signing and Proloquo2go experience is highly advantageous
• NDIS worker Screening Check
• Current First Aid & CPR certifications
• Working with Children Check/Blue card, or willingness to obtain
• Current Australian driver’s license
• Availability for early morning starts, working 2-3 shifts per week.
• Full COVID-19 Vaccination records
