  • This is a part time role (22.5 hours a week). Fixed term for 12 months - Hourly rate of $36.46 plus super and salary packaging.
  • This position is open to females only. Wellsprings for Women’s conduct falls within the exceptions contained in sections 28 and 88 of the Victorian Equal Opportunity Act 2010.

The Strategic Projects Officer is responsible for coordinating and implementing data collection and impact evaluation activities, managing internal and external feedback, undertaking research projects, writing policy submissions and coordinating the roll out of the Reconciliation Action Plan.

Main tasks

Core objectives include:

  • Develop and implement annual surveys targeting, staff, volunteers, external stakeholders, clients and participants
  • Research and develop submissions responding to Government’s policy initiatives
  • Lead and report on the implementation of the Reconciliation Action Plan in consultation with management
  • Gather the informal feedback forms on quarterly basis, summarise their content and recommendations
  • Liaise across teams to document business requirements of data management and coordinate development of approved required change.
  • Provide reports to Board on needs basis
  • Research information required for grant writing
  • Conduct evaluation on programs as directed by management
  • Support the implementation of Wellsprings’ advocacy strategy .

The above list is not exhaustive, and the role may change to meet the overall objectives of the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or Post graduate qualifications in social sciences, humanities or equivalent

Experience

  • Experience in data analysis research and evaluation
  • Experience in policy analysis and submission writing
  • Experience in juggling multiple demands
  • Experience in working closely with CALD communities of women

Knowledge

  • Problem Solving
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the coordination of complex projects and initiatives, particularly in performance monitoring, data quality, and reporting.
  • Proficient in office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word including Outlook)
  • Awareness of office, health and safety procedures
  • Sound knowledge of research principles and ethics
  • Understanding of policies and frameworks that inform multicultural, human rights and feminist work practices

  • Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Proven strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive service improvement and decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal/oral communication skills

  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to own car (due to outreach aspects of the role)
