The Role:

  • Position Title: Manager – Primary Care Initiatives
  • Contract Type: This position is being offered in a full-time capacity.
  • Location: Kingswood, NSW (hybrid work arrangements may be considered upon application in line with our Work from Home Policy).

About:

This role has a diverse focus responsible for the implementation of programs and services targeted to support vulnerable population groups including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence, emergency and disaster management and people experiencing chronic conditions. This is achieved through the successful design, commissioning and contract management of programs with primary health care providers including general practice, allied health and community focused organisations to address identified population health needs in the region.

Selection Criteria:

Essential

  • Highly developed communication, networking, presentation and engagement skills.
  • Previous experience in building and establishing new partnerships and opportunities through strategic communication strategies.
  • Proven experience in managing, coaching and guiding employees to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Previous demonstrated knowledge and skills to make authoritative judgements and responsibilities as a program owner.
  • Proven experience in managing the risks and outcomes of multiple projects on multiple levels across an organisation
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent targeted experience in health, management, project management or similar.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and/or experience of the primary health care sector in the Australian context.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations.
