About the Office of Student Experience and Marketing

The Office of Student Experience & Marketing (SEM) is responsible for attracting and enrolling prospective students and optimising the students’ experience throughout their time at Western. Peer Programs, empowers students to create meaningful and impactful learning communities that support their success. With their peers alongside, at PASS, MATES and English Conversation Groups, students gain the skills, self-efficacy and confidence as learners needed to succeed in their transition to and retention at university. The Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Program is a student-centred learning program. PASS Facilitators assist students to understand the content of their subject/s and develop transferable study skills to help improve their grades, overall academic performance, and retention at university.

About the Opportunity

Our Peer Programs team is seeking an experienced Program Coordinator for Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), our flagship peer learning program.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the PASS team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality learning program. Responsibilities include overseeing program planning, administrative processes and the recruitment and management of student casuals. This is an exciting and varied role, where you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders including students, professional and Academic staff from across the University.

This is a full-time position based at Western’s Penrith (Kingswood) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required. Please review the position description for further information.

About You

We are seeking a dynamic individual with an undergraduate degree in a relevant field and substantial management experience in a large organisation. You should understand peer learning pedagogies, online technologies, and learning communities, and possess the skills to lead, motivate, and coordinate teams effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the ability to maintain effective relationships with staff and students across the University. You should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to initiative and task follow-through.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
