The Street Law Clinic demonstrates the School of Law’s commitment to providing real world opportunities for its students in a best practice clinical legal education model underpinned by a therapeutic jurisprudence framework. 

The Street Law Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor will supervise law students undertaking the Street Law Clinic in researching, preparing, and delivering community legal education to partners including community organisations and/or secondary schools. The Street Law Clinic will run one to two days per week, depending on the semester.

The Street Law Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor will also assist the Principal Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor of the Western Sydney University Justice Clinic (WSUJC), the First Nations Peoples’ Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor and the Director of Clinical Legal Education in providing a free legal advice and referral service (the Student Legal Service) to current Western Sydney University students, and assisting with casework, law reform and policy work as required.

This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), fixed-term position until 31 December 2022 based at the Parramatta City Campus however travel to other campuses may be required from time to time.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 - $108,206 to $116,756 (comprising Salary $91,435 to $98,660 plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Please note, the above salary ranges are based on the full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and the salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis applicable to 0.8 FTE.
