ABOUT THE Foundation

The West Moorabool Foundation Ltd is a registered health promotion charity operating in Moorabool Shire in Victoria. It was established in 2023, with a gift from the Ballan District Health and Care Association when the local bush nursing hospital was sold.

The Foundation has investments of over $1.6 m to support its charitable purposes within Moorabool Shire, with a focus on the west Moorabool community. More detailed background information can be found on the Foundation’s website.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This freelance role is designed to support the Foundation and its governing board to transition from set up mode to operations mode. You will be involved in ushering in the Foundation’s first disease prevention project, supporting the board, and engaging with the west Moorabool community.

ABOUT YOU

We welcome your interest. There are a couple of essentials, but we are open to hearing how you'd meet the brief. The essentials include experience developing/managing projects, writing and editing skills, and a familiarity with AI apps and Microsoft software. Any of the following would be valued, but are not essential: a health or philanthropic background; knowledge about disease prevention; grant writing and marketing skills; and website CMS familiarity. The personal traits we love include a communicative and collaborative approach to tasks, being organised and independent, and making productive use of time.
