What we do:

The Women’s Housing Company (WHC) Limited is a registered charity and Tier 1 Community Housing Provider managing over 1200 properties providing housing, accommodation and support services for women and children across Sydney, the Hunter and Coffs Harbour.

At WHC we provide housing and homelessness services to single women and women with children in NSW.

Last year, we housed almost 1,700 women and children, as well as supported over 300 homeless women. We have a particular focus on addressing the housing needs of older women, women with children, and women who have experienced domestic and family violence.

The role:

  • Contract: Full time, Permanent
  • Hours of work: 38 hours
  • Location: Surry Hills, Sydney

Salary & Benefits:

  • $110,000 per annum plus super

Role Purpose:

The Financial Analyst operates as an essential business partner to Women’s Housing Company and is responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis to the business that aids decision making and supports the business growth and operating effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the organisation meet its financial goals by implementing the annual budgeting and long-range forecasting processes
  • Support the organisation to meet its financial goals by acting as a business partner to the senior management team
  • Support the organisation’s strategic and growth plans by providing accurate and timely financial management reporting and analysis, information for tenders and development proposals and preparing financial models and analysis that facilitates decision making.
  • Support WHC to manage its risk and maintain high levels of corporate governance and compliance by ensuring KPI and management reporting meets National Registration requirements and by producing papers and reports to aid decision making at the SMT, Board and Committee level.
  • Support WHC’s commitment to continuous improvement and quality systems by contributing the development of finance policies and processes and supporting and participating in the internal quality and compliance audits.

Qualifications, Skills:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or accounting
  • CPA or CA qualification (mandatory)
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Financial Analyst or Management Accountant, with a strong focus on budgeting, forecasting, growth strategies and performance enhancement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (including financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting)
  • Experience with Power Query is highly regarded but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Mandatory National Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check (WWCC)
